Administration of BackupEDGE storage on Amazon S3 is actually done through the Amazon Payments web site. Typically this involves getting a new temporary S3 activation key when re-installing BackupEDGE or adding a second server to an account.

| 3. A new temporary activation code will appear. Type this into the EDGEMENU S3 activation screen. | Show Example |
Deactivation
Deactivation of BackupEDGE storage on Amazon S3 is actually done through the Amazon Payments web site.

| 1. Browse to Amazon Web Services by clicking the button on the right: | |
| 2. Log in to your Amazon Payments account. | Show Example |
| 3. The green-on-yellow box has a "click here" to "change your Microlite BackupEDGE subscription. Click it. | Show Example |
| 4. When you scroll down and click "Cancel the use of Microlite BackupEDGE", All Of The BackupEDGE Data In The S3 Account Will Be LOST. | Show Example |
If you "Cancel the use of Microlite BackupEDGE" on Amazon Payments, or cancel your entire Amazon account, stored data on Amazon S3 servers will be forever lost.
Amazon Payments will pro-rate your monthly charges based on the date you deactivate. This does not remove your actual Amazon account; it simply detaches BackupEDGE S3 Services and removes all stored data from the account.
Remember to change your Default and Scheduled storage Resources in EDGEMENU to another existing Resource.
