The Aliquippa Fighting Quips football program is one of the most successful programs in the state of Pennsylvania. The Quips have won a record 12 WPIAL and 2 PIAA Championships. The Quips will have the distinction of being the first Beaver County School to win a PIAA Championship, the Quips were joined in 1998 & 2000 by Class A Rochester, and in 1999 Class A South Side Beaver. The Quips have qualified for post season play 15 of the last 16 years, so you can truly see
The Quips are currently coached by Mike Zmijanac who is entering his tenth year as head coach. Coach "Z" recently retired as the Varsity Basketball Coach, who led his Quips to three WPIAL Titles & one PIAA Title.
In addition to the team's success, the Quips have produced some noteworthy NFL Talent. Namely Mike Ditka, Sean Gilbert, Ty Law, & most recently Charles Fisher.
This year, as in the past, the heartbeat of our school spirit lies with the 2003 edition of the Aliquippa High School Cheerleaders
Once again, these cheerleaders are sponsored by Mrs. Rose Olden. These girls have dedicated hours of practice to sharpen their skills to fire up the Quips.
